What do the stars say about what lies ahead for us? There are very large themes at play that will carryover from last year, such as taking in all that we think we know, and allowing ourselves to question. Perhaps life has gone well according to certain beliefs, and now we find the need to move away from the known allowing curiosity and new ideas to emerge.
No one could miss the announcement of the Christmas Star or the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius on Winter Solstice. This event had not happened in that sign and been so visible for many years. Aquarius is an Air sign that follows the beat of its own drum, for this is the most unique sign in the zodiac. Being different and showing that which is authentically YOU is praised under Aquarius. Fitting in and following the herd is not valued, rather ingenious breakthroughs when one steps “out of the box” is the path forward.
We all are unique sparks, just look at your individual birth chart! What happened at that moment, had a certain energy and from that energetic template is a reflection of YOU.
This year one of the most significant transits is Saturn and Uranus “squaring off”. Saturn is rule-bound, disciplined, seeking structure and organization. Saturn believes if you put in the “hard work”, it will pay off. Uranus is the rule-breaker, the Awakener, the one who follows the beat of their own drum. Uranus will be putting pressure (via the square aspect) on the way things have “always been done”, Saturn, to CHANGE things up.
As we all are aware, life has become a bit less predictable lately, and we may find that disconcerting. We gravitate towards certainty (Saturn), and yet are being asked to dig deep and allow individuality to be celebrated (Uranus). We must remember Uranus is here to bring ingenious insight and “awakening”, to carry us forward on a new path. If we think about it, the way we go about things could use some innovation.
