Cancer Support Group with Horses

Wednesday Nights 6pm – 9pm   |   June – October  2022

A weekly group for anyone affected by cancer – as a patient past or present, as a caregiver or family member, as a friend or partner. We will meet weekly throughout the summer season to share, explore, and support one another in a nurturing, safe environment alongside horses.

We look forward to sharing this sacred space with you and to creating a safe, meaningful community group where all members can explore their experiences around cancer – cancer support, survivorship and survivor guilt, grief and loss in its many forms, and acceptance in the unexpected … often where we least expect it.

The gestalt process allows for an organic experience for each group member. We will follow the natural flow and needs of each individual as well as the group as a whole. Some weeks you will sit as a client and dive deep into your own life’s journey and needs. Other weeks you will sit as a supportive group member while someone else takes the client chair.

We will allow members to “drop in” from week to week, meaning that you don’t have to commit to the entire season. However, we will need you to register weekly so that we know how many people to expect and to make sure we don’t exceed our limited capacity.

What to Wear / Bring
**Bring a camping or folding chair.
Dress in layers, for comfort, and wear close toed shoes to be around the horses.
Bring water, snacks, whatever will keep you comfortable.

Restrooms
We have an indoor bathroom that is heated in the winter and cool in the summer.
